Eliott Dinfotan - Computer Engineering '25

Focus: Packaging

Eliott led the design and fabrication of the buoy packaging system. He was responsible for developing a waterproof, buoyant enclosure that housed all electronics and mechanical components. His work ensured long-term durability, environmental protection, and mechanical stability during on-water testing and deployment.

Benji Gilbert - Computer Engineering '25

Focus: Mobile App Development

Benji developed the mobile application that served as the user interface for controlling the robotic buoys. He designed and implemented front-end features to support real-time control and monitoring, and ensured smooth integration with the backend systems. His work provided sailors with an intuitive and responsive tool for remote operation.

Ella Hedman - Electrical Engineering '25

Focus: PCB Development, Packaging

Ella played a central role in the design and integration of the robotic buoys’ electronics. She led schematic design and PCB layout for key subsystems, ensuring electrical stability and functionality. She also contributed to packaging development, focusing on waterproofing techniques and mechanical support structures that protected internal components in the aquatic environment.

Sam Kraft - Computer Engineering '25

Focus: Wireless Communication, Sensors

Sam engineered the wireless communication system that connected the mobile app to the robotic buoys, replacing unreliable and expensive cellular options with a custom LoRa-based protocol. He also worked on sensor integration, focusing on accurate data acquisition and robust connectivity between the buoy’s hardware and software systems.

Noah Robitshek - Computer Engineering '25

Focus: Business Development, Bot Software

Noah led both the strategic and technical direction of the project. He developed the core embedded software responsible for controlling the robotic buoys, including motor control, sensor integration, and real-time communication. He contributed extensively to the design and testing of custom PCBs and co-developed the buoy packaging system. In addition to his technical responsibilities, Noah oversaw business development efforts, driving project vision, partnership outreach, and deployment planning.
